Questions people ask before they buy
- Is there a trial?
- The interactive app at the top of the home page uses simulated data, but it's the real layout and the real words. After that, the 30-day refund is your trial.
- Why is it on sale?
- It's new. The first 25 people take a chance on it, and they pay less for that.
- What doesn't it do?
- It doesn't control your fans, and it isn't translated yet. There are no Shortcuts actions, AI plan limits or share images.
- Is it on the Mac App Store?
- No, and it won't be. It reads system interfaces the App Store doesn't allow. It's signed with a Developer ID and sold directly.
Tested so far
Macometer is new, so here's where testing stands.
Checked
- Installed and run on an M4 Pro Mac mini on macOS 27. Tests and the self test also pass on an M1 Pro MacBook Pro.
- CPU, disk, network and memory readings, against
top,iostat,netstatandvm_stat. - Clicking the main window's tabs by hand.
Not tried yet
- A real battery, so MacBook readings have only run against test data.
- macOS versions before 27, and Intel Macs.
- Clicking the time range, ⌘K and Settings by hand in the installed app. They pass an automated test, which isn't the same thing.
- Sleep and wake, per-app volume on real audio, the optional helper, Docker, notifications and a real MCP client.
If it misbehaves on your Mac, the 30-day refund covers it. Please tell us too.
